Description

In 2019, Zerbosco decided to launch a line of vegan wines out of a need to produce a natural wine without the use of animal proteins. For this product potato and pea proteins are used in the fining process. Particular attention was paid to the packaging, which is also entirely made without the use of animal products. From the ink on the labels to the glass of the bottles, to the shellac that seals the bottle; a choice with a strong visual impact.
L’Arca, the name, it’s a gift to all animals and to the structure that rescued them in ancient time from the Great Flood. It’s an invitation to respect all forms of lives and to protect their safety.
Croatina, an ancient native vine of northern Italy, very widespread in Oltrepò Pavese, particularly rustic and resistant, planted on steep hills facing south, characterizes wines with a marked structure and intense color.
It is among the varieties with the highest content of polyphenols in the skin, which determine its intense red color. Hints of red fruit, cherry and morello cherry characterize the aromas of the wine. Barbera brings acidity and a finer tannin guaranteeing balance and longevity to this wine.
